Hello Families,
What a week! What a year! Phew! If you and/or your kiddo is feeling tired, you’re not alone. It’s been a very busy end of school year, and emotions can run high during this transtional time.
We have many goodbyes to say, as well as many “see you laters,” and we will have a chance to honor this special time as a community on Thursday night at the Spring Program. We will keep in touch during the summer and gather for 1-2 organized playdates at BBS. Stay tuned for those upcoming dates in July & Aug.
The Open House last Thursday was a celebratory moment and signifies the completion of our construction project. See photo highlights in this final Bond Update.

Administrators (5th-8th)
Hello Friends and Families of the Administrators!
It is with a heavy, sad heart to type these last words in the update world. It has been an honor to get to spend my days with your children. They are amazing human beings and I KNOW they will continue to grow, stretch themselves and inspire the world around them. Please come say goodbye over the next few days. I am looking forward to seeing you all at the program Thursday at 6pm.
Thanks for all your support over the years,
Shawn
Update from Ms. Kassie
K-1 Literacy & Math
Thank you all for such a fun year. We sure did ask the students to be flexible and persevere as we all managed working through the school being remodeled, and they did great!
Look for a lot of items coming home tomorrow including the follow:
- A hard copy of the Literacy and Math to play at home document
- Art books
- Portfolios
- Literacy workbooks
- Another math workbook
- Some paper books to read over the summer
Please try to say hello at the performance tomorrow or on Friday for the big spray. It would be great to connect with each family before summer break.
K-2 Science
We reviewed all the units we have learned this year. Phew, it was a lot! Ask your students about which unit was their favorite and why.

Field Studies (3rd-8th)
We have arrived at our final update of the year. We are looking forward to gathering with families and friends the next couple days to celebrate the end of the school year. We are wrapping up the year with a lot of positive energy but also some big emotions as we say farewell to people who have made a big impact on BBS.
We wrapped up Field Study class this week with our native plant quiz and the planting of some new plants in front of the school. We also did a little year review of all we have learned in Field Study from birds, to forests, to electronics, to native plants. We covered a lot of ground this year and hopefully the students learned a lot along the way.
PE/Health Class
We had a really fun full school game of kick ball in P.E. class yesterday. Students have been having a great time playing baseball and kickball in the corner of our field the past few weeks. We also did a whole school reflection on the year and shared some favorite memories and ways we changed this year.

Perfectly hot weather for the LCL swim day!
