Hello Families,
Wow, this is it! Hard to believe it’s the last week of school. What a fantastic year it has been, with phenomenal growth among our students. SO much growth, we decided it was worthy of a surprise pizza party at lunch today!
The cause for celebration is detailed in Mr. Sharp’s Principal update – be sure to read about the remarkable academic gains students have made.
Thank you all so much for supporting your kids this year and for following the BBS journey through this blog. We’ll be in touch this summer to let you know about summer playdates and other local events. We look forward to seeing you at the Spring Program Thursday evening, and hope to see you this summer!
A final reminder from Mr. B: Please have Green Ridge students bring their black clothing to school in the morning. They don’t need to wear them, but have them when they arrive at school.

Update from Mr. Sharp
Principal Message
We are coming to the end of a long and wonderful journey this week at BBS. We began back on September 2nd and have now spent 37 weeks together learning, playing, and bonding as a group. This has been one of the best groups of students to come through BBS in a long time and it will be bittersweet to say goodbye this week. We will end on a celebratory note with our Spring Program Thursday night and our final day of school Friday. Make sure to come check in with teachers and staff this week to say farewell before summer.
Cause for extra celebration this year is the amazing growth we have seen in our students. Not only have they grown in maturity, in their social bonds, and in their sense of self but they have also grown by leaps and bounds in their academic abilities. We have been wrapping up our end of year assessments the past couple weeks and the results have surpassed all expectations.
The vast majority of our students met their growth goals for the year in both math and reading. Many of our students made well over a typical year of academic growth since their first assessments in late September. We saw this incredible success across all 3 classrooms and across students that started the year in many different places academically.
To me, this demonstrates that our school model is working. We have a great team of staff who are dedicated to the well being of every student. We have an amazing group of 20 families who bought into the BBS experience and partnered with us on this journey. And most of all, we have an incredible group of kids who worked really hard this year. The level of academic success we are seeing doesn’t just happen by accident. It is the culmination of a long intentional process by students, staff, and families who stayed connected and persevered through all the ups and downs of the school year. We should all be really proud as we end a great year at BBS.

Rose Hips
What an amazing year! There have been so many laughs, smiles, and lessons learned. I hope you all are very proud of the work the Rose Hips have done.
Our little performance tomorrow is such a sweet way to wrap up the year. If students have props they want, nothing is required, to bring from home (stuffies, cardboard cutouts, special clothes) please make sure they come tomorrow morning so we can practice with them.
Thank you for a great year! Snip, snap, snout, this Rose Hip year is told out. ![]()
Rose Hip & Green Ridge Science
Please look through students’ scientific notebooks. They have spent all year recording what they learned from our 4 major topics. Have students use the notebook this summer to observe the world around them.
